How to leverage content
While QAlias will get your name to the top of the search engines – the actual words you choose for your bio are very important – not only are they representative of you and what you can do – but they are also part of how Google helps position you on the search engines. (If you don’t want to write your own – send us a request to put you in touch with a professional who can help you.)
By choosing words that represent your industry or profession (and linking them to relevant materials on your website or other online areas) you will help position your name in relation to those terms when they are searched as well. Using your name in the bio page a few times – your full name – is a key to helping maintain that top left position. From there, updating your content once a month or more will also help your positioning. Make sure you add items like awards, new memberships, any publications or other ideas – as well as linking to new additions on your company website – will help you freshen content. It doesn’t have to be much – Google’s “spiders” or “bots” just need to see the content isn’t the same as the last time it was through.
Be sure to keep content fresh, keep it relevant and link to sites where you have materials posted to help increase your content’s value.
